We are officially on vacation! But it was hell getting here. First Bill was late getting off work, but we managed to leave on time. Then we got stuck in traffic. We were an hour late to the airport. But we did not miss our flight. Then the parking service was late to meet us. But we did not miss the bus to our terminal. I was finally able to relax once we got through security. We had about 20mins to spare before boarding. We ran into my Assistant Principal from school. She was having a similar evening as us. She was late and missed her flight as well. She is on our flight to Singapore as well- what a small world!
Once we boarded the plane we settled in to our seats and began enjoying our vacation. We we checked into the Hotel Nikko, had the dinner of champions (cup o noodles and cold edemame) and relaxed 12 hrs. before heading to our first destination- Singapore. Day one of 20 is over! I plan on counting days, airports and hotels. Day one (6/18), hotel one (Hotel Nikko), airport one and two (Naha and Kansai).
