In a tropical climate any one can have a green thumb!

We have planted a flower bed in the front yard. We went from having a scraggly bush to a beautiful garden. I can't wait for some of the things to fill in and bloom!
We have hydrangeas, hibiscus and a rose bush. There are some other flower, I don't know their names, they are just pretty!

St. Patrick's Day Celebration

We went down to Koza St. For a parade of Irish. It was put on by an Irish man who owns an Irish Bar in Japan! It was a parade that lasted a whole 8 mons from beginning to end. But it was a blast. The best show was the Marine Corps Band!

Orphanage Visit

Today I went with 5 Marines, the Generals assistant and the FRO to an Okinawan Orphanage. It was such a fun and rewarding experience. The best part was when the 3 and 4 year olds taught the Marines how to play with a spinning top. The kids were pros and the Marines were stumped. I also really connected with a little girl. Love her so, would love to take her home. I was congratulated on connecting with this little one, they said she is usually so shy and hides from visitors.
