Paphrom the Jungle Temple

After lunch we went to the Paphrom Temple or the jungle temple. It is currently under conservation. There was lots of construction. It was at this temple that Laura Croft Tomb Raider was filmed.
Here is the entrance.
Here you can see some conservation and reconstruction workers.
Here is a famous shot with the tree on top of the temple and the roots encroaching onto the temple. These trees will grow anywhere.
More reconstruction.
Here is what the temple looks like without any reconstruction.
Trees taking over the outer wall.
Bill being Indian Jones again- I could not keep him off the rubble.
I think the structure is just beautiful!
This gives some perspective of how large the trees are compared to the temple and compared to people.
The roots just lined the outer walkway.
Here is some nice restoration.
Here they have lined up all the puzzle pieces prepared to put them bak at some point.
The carvings are very detailed.
My favorite tree.
And the exit. Just a cool experience.
